Music Together of Milford & Greater Manchester
Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music program for infants,
toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and the adults who love them. First offered to the public in 1987,
it pioneered the concept
of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement. Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical.
Welcome parents, grandparents and caregivers!    Did you know that all children are musical, and that the ages between birth and five are the years when music is most readily absorbed, processed and learned by young children?

WHAT ARE CLASSES LIKE?

In ten weekly classes per session, parents/caregivers learn techniques to foster an enriched music environment at home and ways to create a lasting bond with their children through music.  Music is learned through play, repetition and experimentation.   Freedom is encouraged within a structured group of developmentally appropriate music activities involving movement and props such as instruments, streamers, balls, hoops, scarves and more, while all types of learning styles are respected and included.  Multicultural music provides a wide variety of rhythms, tones and modes/styles.

Materials are included in tuition (CD, parent guide and song/activity book containing the songs, rhythm chants, “play-along” music and tonal and rhythm patterns done in class). Classes are 45 minutes long and are offered for Mixed Ages (0-5 years) in ten week sessions each season.
