Spring 2012 Session: 10 wks.  How do I make up a class? Under the Music Together® tab on the homepage, click on Family Portal.   That is a page just for people who have an account, and certain features are available only to enrolled families.   After logging in, you will see the Portal page with a box that says Makeup Scheduler.   Two makeups per session, more if extenuating circumstances exist.

What about siblings? Can I bring non-registered siblings if I have to? Yes, if there is space, and you must pay the sibling fee of $10 (alumni siblings get one free visit per session when they have a day off of school). Call for permission to bring a sibling.

Can my adult relatives join us sometimes? Yes, any time!  Make sure to tell them our philosophy about modeling musical participation and not talking in class so that they will participate and not just sit in the corner. Even if they are not mobile, we hope they will sing and wave scarves or play instruments with us. Chairs are available for visitors if they need them.  And it's especially important to have both men and women modelling participation in class!  Our boys need musical role models too!

Should I use the materials at home in a certain way? Read or sing the songs from the book to your child as you would with a story book, and talk about the pictures. Listen and sing along to the CD in the car or at home so that you learn the songs and feel at ease with them in class. Follow the great ideas for making music at home, and please read the introductory chapters as soon as possible, allowing you to get the most value out of this program.  (but do not let the CD's take the place of live music-making!)

Grandparents:    We Love Them! Were you lucky enough to have grandparents pay for your semester of Music Together?   If you give Amy their email address she can send them her Eletter or can email them a photo of you and your child in class.

Cancellations:  Amy/Nancy will call you the night before or in the morning and in some cases also email you if you do not answer the phone. Cancelled classes will be made up at the end of the session. You will be called on your home phone no less than one hour before class normally starts, so please check your messages before you leave home.  Teachers do get sick once in a while!  In the case of snow, Classes are often cancelled, but not always, when the local schools are closed.  Please check your machine or the website if there is snow in the morning.

New Students:  We will be taking new students in classes that are not yet filled.   Please tell your friends to call Amy if they would like to try out a class with you, provided there is space.  $10 friend "referral credit!"  for both you and the friend.

Food:  Please do not bring food or drinks  into the classroom.  However, nursing or bottle-feeding are welcome and common during the lullaby song or any time.  Because of allergies, food restrictions, differing food philosophies and cleanliness, we (the teachers) do not hand out food or treats in class either.  If you need water during class, place it out of reach in a water bottle.  The same goes for emergency cellphones, diaper bags and other distractions (keep them off the floor).  We aim for a babyproof room.  Thank you!

Parking:   In Milford, you can park on either side of Amy's blue house in the large driveways.   Use extra caution on Elm st, and if possible do not back out into the street when leaving.   Watch for little children in the parking lot.    In the other three locations, parking is simple in the parking lots by the door.  In Nashua we park along the right side of the Temple and use the side door.
